The Story Behind the Arcana Club
It’s funny… tarot cards weren’t even our original idea.
It all started with a random video I saw on Instagram. Someone was unboxing a print club envelope and it was one of those simple, beautifully packaged letters that people subscribe to each month. It wasn’t anything flashy or high-tech… but there was something about it that felt special. It was personal, slow, and intentional which happens to be the exact opposite of how everything feels online in a digital age.
That was back in September 2025. At first I thought, I could totally do something like this. I was going to start the project on my own, until I showed the idea to Allison over coffee one morning. She had never even heard of a print club before, but the more we talked about it, the more it just… made sense.
We didn’t have the full concept yet - no name, no theme, not even a clear idea of what we’d be sending. But we knew we wanted to create something fun, meaningful, and real. Something that made opening the mailbox feel exciting again.
Because let’s be honest, as young professionals, the only thing that ever seems to show up in the mail these days are bills, flyers, junk and credit card offers. Nothing personal. Nothing worth keeping.
That’s when we started dreaming about how to make it different. Over a few too many coffees (and probably a few too many “hear me out” moments), we landed on the idea of tarot-inspired cards.
We loved the symbolism, the storytelling and the idea that each person could receive a card meant just for them. It’s like a tiny personalized moment of reflection in an envelope. Tarot felt like the perfect mix of art, mystery, and connection.
And just like that, the Arcana Club was born.
Our vision was simple: to create a monthly tarot mail subscription that feels like a note from the universe. Each envelope holds a beautifully printed card, a personal message, and a spark of something unexpected - all designed to make your day and month a little brighter.
In a world that’s fast, digital, and often overwhelming, the Arcana Club is our way of slowing things down. It’s snail mail magic for modern life - something you can touch, display, and look forward to every month.
What started as a random Instagram video turned into a passion project that blends creativity, connection, and curiosity. Whether you’re a tarot lover or just someone who misses the joy of real mail, this little club was made for you.
P.S. Shout out to Maura K Spain! Her video about the her Baker’s Dozen Print Club got me hooked on Print Clubs. Definitely go check her out, she’s awesome!
