Obsidian

XI

💨💨💨💨💨

Accountability is the path to equilibrium.

Obsidian cuts through illusion with clarity so sharp it feels like truth finally landing in your hands. This card is about honesty - with yourself, with others, and with the path you’re choosing. It calls you back into alignment through accountability, fairness, and the quiet courage of owning your choices.

This is the moment where everything comes into focus. No more guessing, no more hoping things will fix themselves. Obsidian invites you to see things as they truly are, not as you wish them to be and from that clarity, make decisions rooted in integrity.

The Story behind Obsidian

In our reimagined deck, Obsidian replaces Justice.

Traditional Justice stands tall, weighing truth on a balanced scale. But the truth isn’t always tidy or neutral. Sometimes it’s a little cloudy. With Obsidian, it asks us to face the things we’ve avoided, the patterns we’ve repeated, the stories we tell ourselves that no longer hold up.

Obsidian understands that real alignment doesn’t come from perfection.
It comes from honesty. Obsidian turns your gaze inward - not to punish, but to liberate.

Like the stone itself, this card is protective, grounding, and deeply reflective. When Obsidian arrives, you’re being asked to see the full picture, both shadows and light, and choose the path that aligns with your highest self, not your easiest one.

  • In love, Obsidian brings radical honesty. This is a moment to step back and ask:
Are we being real with each other? Are we being real with ourselves?

If you’re single, this card invites you to look at the patterns you’ve been repeating not with shame, but with compassion. Awareness creates new possibilities.

If you’re in a relationship, Obsidian highlights the conversations that need to be had. Truth spoken kindly can heal more deeply than silence ever will. This is the card that says:
Love rooted in honesty lasts. Love built on avoidance cracks.

  • In your career, Obsidian shines light on what’s working and what isn’t. Maybe you’re facing a decision that requires fairness, boundaries, or accountability. Maybe you’ve outgrown a role but haven’t admitted it yet.

    This card asks:
What choice aligns with your integrity?

Contracts, negotiations, and important decisions often surface with Obsidian. Approach everything with transparency, and you will land exactly where you’re meant to be.

  • Financially, Obsidian brings clarity to spending habits, shared resources, or long-avoided truths about money. This card doesn’t judge, it reveals. Once you see the full picture, you can make choices that bring stability.

Expect fairness, balancing, or a return to equilibrium. Decisions made from honesty improve your financial foundation.

  • Emotionally, Obsidian represents a moment of self-awareness. You may be realizing truths you’ve ignored, or seeing a situation with sudden clarity. This can feel grounding or intense but liberating.

Your feelings aren’t here to overwhelm you.
    They’re guiding you toward alignment.

  • When Obsidian guides your actions, the message is clear:
    Do the honest thing.

Have the conversation. Look at the numbers. Make the decision you’ve been postponing. Take responsibility without blaming yourself. Move forward with integrity, even if it’s uncomfortable.

    Clarity now creates freedom later.

Between the Lines

When we created Obsidian, we were thinking about those moments when you catch yourself avoiding the truth, even the truth you already know. We’ve both had times where we convinced ourselves things were “fine,” or that we’d deal with something later, or that staying quiet would keep the peace. It never does.

Obsidian came from the realization that honesty isn’t always loud… sometimes it’s the soft, steady voice that finally says, “You can’t keep doing this.”

We’ve had to face our own patterns, admit when we were wrong, and own the parts of our lives that weren’t lining up with who we want to be. It's never easy but it's freeing.

This card is our reminder that clarity is a kindness.

To ourselves, to others, and to the path we’re choosing.
